This blog exists as a means of exploring the details of worldview: how we might approach life in a reasonable fashion.
To that end, I intend to write a great deal about apologetics and counter-apologetics, history and what I see as current social trends, ethics, and logic.
For those who are interested, I happen to be a Christian. I consider myself very devoted to my beliefs, but willing to accept that reasonable people will disagree.

Interesting intro. I think it is only good that reasonable people agree to disagree while remaining civil.
Thanks for visiting and you are welcome another time 🙂

Thanks.
And I definitely appreciate those who have the gift of challenging without scorn. It is a much needed talent, I think.

I’m curious, have you read Plantinga’s Where the Real Conflict Lies? If so, I would be interested to read your thoughts on it. If not, I recommend it to you, it fits with much of what you’ve written here.
May 8th, 2013 at 2:42 pm
I did finally get around to that one this year.
I very much like Plantinga; I find him both reasonable and genteel. I’d like to get to more of his work.

Feel free to make your baseless theistic claims here, I don’t have time to deal with people who explain everything with “godidit” .

Odd that I never visited this page? It is normally my first port of call on any blog.
Thus I missed you stating you are a Christian.
May I suggest a (drop down) list of recent posts, and /or calendar?
Make it easier (for me) to navigate.
January 11th, 2014 at 12:22 pm
You’ve visited it. We’ve had this conversation before (a few months ago).
I’ll look into reworking the navigation at some point, though I must admit that I probably won’t get around to it for some time.
Do keep in mind, however, that my definition of Christianity and yours are completely different religions.
January 11th, 2014 at 12:52 pm
‘Different?
Jesus is God.
What else is to know?
January 12th, 2014 at 12:04 pm
If you stuck to just that, you wouldn’t have made most of the comments that you’ve made.
You’ve understood that sentence completely incorrectly, rejected that incorrect understanding, assumed that everyone sees the matter the way you do, then accused them of believing something silly.
This is what is formally known as a straw man fallacy. We need to be careful about it.
January 12th, 2014 at 2:15 pm
How is this sentence incorrect?
Then tell me what your understanding is of being a Christian.
Why will you not merely state it in black and white in pain simple English?
he more evasive you are the more is inclined to believed you are indulging in subterfuge.
If you do not feel like spelling it out as you have already identified your understanding then point me to the post where you have explained what type of Christian you are.
It is unreasonable for you to continue in this fashion if you wish me to participate in further dialogue.
January 13th, 2014 at 12:58 am
My understanding of Christianity is fairly complex. The details are all over this blog–and too much for the about page.
So, no. I’ll not be stating it in simple English. I’ll not be stating my understanding of general relativity right now, in simple English either–or my understanding of the causes of the collapse of the Roman Empire, or anything else that complex.
But I don’t insist that you stay. If you find this unreadable, you are free to go at any time.

Hi there,
I am doing some independent research on Religious Philisophy and I recently discovered your blog and it fascinates me; I am wondering if you might have the time to add some perspective to a couple of questions I have (my email is james_taddeo@yahoo.com)? Thanks.
Sincerely,
James Taddeo

Sure, insofar as I’m able. I’ll try to get in touch with you soon, but please send me a reminder if I don’t.
